The holidays are a wonderful time to gather with friends and family and express our gratitude. But if you're a celebrity making seven figures, this is also a fantastic moment to spend that money on creating some wild jewelry. Celebs are still splashing the cash on jewelry, ice, barbecues, and other luxuries while the majority of us are cutting costs and saving for gifts to give to our loved ones. Some of our favorite celebrities spent lavishly on jewelry this November.
For $500,000, Post Malone bought himself a pinky ring. Verdy arrived to ComplexCon with a vehicle bearing a unique chain honoring one of his most well-known characters. Additionally, Tee Grizzley acquired a chain with an iced out message last month. And Tee Grizzley even copped a chain last month with an iced out message on the back addressed to anyone attempting to snatch it. Take a closer look at some of the biggest celebrity jewelry purchases from November 2022 below.
Post Malone’s 23-Carat Pinky Ring
Jeweler: Angel City Jewelers
Post Malone wrapped up the US leg of his Twelve Carat Tour by picking up a fitting piece of jewelry estimated to cost $500,000. Posty hit up Isaac Bokhoor of Angel City Jewelers to cook up an intricate pinky ring that boasts 23 carats worth of diamonds. The piece is anchored around a 5-carat emerald cut center stone, embellished with another 5 carats of round diamonds on the side, and 13 more 1-carat stones around the band. Needless to say, it was more than a generous gift to himself after closing out the first shows from his latest tour. In January, Malone will tour overseas by performing eight shows in New Zealand and Australia. His latest album Twelve Carat Toothache made its debut at No. 2 on the Billboard 200. Aside from picking up rings, Malone has even been tying the knot for his fans by officiating weddings during his latest tour.
Verdy’s “Vick” Chain
Jeweler: Alex Moss
Anyone who was lucky enough to attend ComplexCon last month likely got a chance to see Verdy walking the floor of the Long Beach Convention Center. Verdy, who hosted this year, ushered in a number of great brands and collaborations that were only available at the annual event. While the most noticeable piece on Verdy at ComplexCon was his custom “Last Orgy 2” varsity jacket designed by Human Made and Undercover, the multi hyphenate Japanese creative also wore a very special piece of jewelry. Verdy hit up one of New York City’s most popular jewelers, Alex Moss, to chef up an iced out iteration of his beloved “Vick” character.
The panda-rabbit cartoon was also sculpted to hold a Girls Don’t Cry logo heart. While the art of collaboration is nothing new for Verdy, he always approaches them with care. “For me collaborations have to be organic. I find that my successes can all be attributed to things being at the right time. No matter how big the name, the feeling behind the collaboration has to be genuine and authentic, fitting to the moment,” Verdy told Complex in an interview shortly before ComplexCon. Be sure to check out our full interview with Verdy along with the best moments at ComplexCon this year here.
Kim Kardashian’s Infinity Grill
Jeweler: Gabby Elan
Kim Kardashian has been building her own sense of style. One of her most recent pickups is another fine grill from Gabby Elan. Kim recently commissioned the New York City-based jeweler to make a subtle infinity link grill that is flooded with tiny diamonds and centered around two big crystal clear gemstones. It’s far from being the first piece Kim has ever copped from Gabby Elan. Last year, she picked up a set of opal grills from the jeweler.
Fivio Foreign’s Iced Out Nameplate
Jeweler: 6 Ice
Aside from defending Nas from 21 Savage’s hate last month, Fivio Foreign treated himself with some jewelry from 6 Ice. Fivio’s latest purchase was a nameplate chain that featured a money bag emoji pendant, 35 carats of VVS diamonds, and 14 karats of solid rose and white gold. The Brooklyn drill rapper’s latest piece is finished off nicely by hanging from a 19mm diamond prong cuban chain.
Tee Grizzley’s ‘This Ain’t Worth Dying Over’ Chain
Jeweler: Haimov Jewelers
Back in September, Detroit rapper Tee Grizzley’s home in Los Angeles was burglarized and he lost nearly $1 million in jewelry and cash. But like any successful rapper, Grizzley got his money back up and eventually began accumulating more sick jewelry despite the loss. Last month, he took home the trophy for coming up with one of the most thoughtful pieces of jewelry we’ve seen. Grizzley hit up Miami’s Haimov Jewelers to craft a bedazzled pendant that captures a grizzly bear catching a fresh piece of salmon. It looks almost identical to a pendant he purchased before his home was burglarized in September, except his new one features a set of emerald gem eyes rather than rubies. However, the best detail on Grizzley’s latest piece of jewelry is an iced out warning on the back that reads, “This ain’t worth dying over.”
