After such a successful collaboration last year, Nike decided to reconnect with Jacquemus reimagine the Air Humara as the Air Humara LX. The new rendition steps away from its hiking roots and takes the shoe in a new, more trendy direction.
The two brands decided to branch out with a brand new design of the shoe that sees its regular mesh replaced with ripstop. Nike also took the sneaker in a different direction with its color composition. The sneaker features coral orange leather overlays joined by a complementary soft pink. A rugged gum sole built to withstand the elements harkens back to the shoe's hiking roots. The midsole features a pink and white checkered pattern fabric cover. To match the pink ripstop base, the leather mudguard is decorated with typical Nike and Air branding. The midsole's medial heel may contain a possible hint towards the inspiration behind the design; it has illegible text that mimics the finish of a blue ballpoint pen. All in all, these sneakers combine both form and function.
Nike has been on an absolute tear lately when it comes to collaborations, and the Air Humara are no exception. While it is still early in the year, other shoes brands are gonna have to keep it into overdrive to compete with Nike for the best collobartions of the year.
While there is currently no information that has been released regarding the drop of these sneakers, they will most likely land on shelves in the coming months via Nike and select retailers at a starting price of $160 USD.
