JJJJound, an archive page turned creative studio, and BAPE, a leading streetwear brand, reconnect for yet another collaboration, which is as incredible as expected. The centerpiece of the collab is the BAPE STA™ colorway. The shoe disdains flashy colors and opts for a minimalistic aesthetic. The shoe features the signature STA branding on a white calf leather upper, and the BAPE logos are prominently featured on the monochrome white midsoles. The heel tabs and insoles are adorned with the stylish JJJJound logo. Special editions of the colorway come packaged in custom blue BAPE camo wrapping with a gold foil co-branding. The minimalistic shoes have a timeless look that will never go out of style.
However, the shoes are not the only fire piece coming from the collaboration. Other pieces include sweatpants and fleece hoodies adorned with the “Timeless Ape” graphic that are perfect for lounging in style. The two companies are also releasing trucker hats, blue camo caps, and T-shirts with full-color BAPE logos. All of the items in the collaboration are manufactured in Japan with signature JJJJound labels on each piece.
In the description of the collab, JJJJound writes, “BAPE® is recognized for their bold streetwear collections and frequent collaborations; meanwhile JJJJJound uses a minimalistic archival approach to design and collaboration. Merging those two approaches to create a timeless collection of streetwear memorabilia, the two labels decided to use navy tones to highlight the pieces and add both a sense of sophistication and streetwear authority to the designs.”
The collab is entitled BAPE® JJJJJound II and will drop at 11 a.m. EST on January 7. It will be available in BAPE stores along with both brands’ online channel.
